A woman was allegedly raped in the street in the early hours of the morning in south London.
The reported victim, aged in her 30s, said she was attacked near West Croydon railway station shortly before 1am on Saturday.
She has been taken to hospital following the assault near the junction of London Road and Kidderminster Road.
A 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of rape at the scene and was also taken to hospital as a precaution.
Police have erected a cordon along a major road between Croydon and Norbury until around 10am, according to MyLondon.
Detective sergeant Walter said: ‘I know the local community will be incredibly concerned to hear about this terrible incident.
